She can probably answer herself, but aside from ignoring many of the complaints people had on-set regarding To Boldly Flee, he apparently remained silent during some of the harassment and garbage happening by the higher-ups to her and didn’t get involved when he easily could have. I think there may have also been some accusations of her being lazy, but I think that was more Michaud in regards to claiming that she shouldn’t complain about money issues because Doug was able to produce eighty gajillion vlog series while due to her issues she was having trouble producing one video per week (also: Baywatching apparently did not count as an episode despite it being scripted content that still required editing - ONLY Obscurus Lupa Presents videos counted), basically trying to argue quantity vs. quality.

But again, probably better to ask her directly, since I’m quoting from memory here.

Sounds about right except for the laziness part. That was Doug, who said, instead of mid-rolls, I should just make more videos, because that was his work ethic. I should also point out that the videos that didn’t “count” for Michaud were my Charmed retrospectives, aka 2 hour long epics that mentally and physically drained me when I was really in a terrible space. Generally speaking, I’d get 3-4 videos a month out, but before Patreon, I was really struggling to make ends meet. 

This call involving Doug and Michaud telling me how many midrolls I was able to use (because that’s their business, apparently) was a direct result of me coming to Doug in Chicago, after Michaud cornered me while I was alone to tell me I was screwing everyone else over by putting up ads, which made people turn on adblock. Yes, instead of their own shitty business practices, he decided I (someone who makes barely a fraction of Doug’s views) was the reason they were losing money. He told me he left up bad comments about the ads as “a hint” to me and made up lies about other producers complaining to him about my ads. I cried in the bathroom for awhile because I was flat broke, so that was fun. That skype call was also the first time I seriously contemplated just quitting right then and there. I should also note that I told Doug that Michaud was very hostile to me when he cornered me, but nothing was done about that. The important thing is making sure your producers go broke.

But everything else sounds about right. Doug was also inexplicably in the 15-minute missed skype call that Michaud used as justification for letting me go, and said nothing, because he’s allowed be involved only when it’s convenient.
